Cool thing, lovely colours.

I have an indiscrete question if I may:
Do you start with a layer of the basic colour and then shade and higlight it, or do you start with a black area and then add the colours for instant plasticity?
Or do you have a completely different technique?

I usually start with a dark color, then add lighter layers on top it. Each layer has more detail and finer line/brush. Nonetheless I still add shadows as I go along, and this varies from painting to painting.

Thanks. It does a lot. If now I had only the attention span to actually finish a painting before starting the next I might actually get me a nice portfolio here that I could actually get work with. :D
